On 22nd January 2016 55 art and photography GCSE students from Banovallum School, Horncastle, Lincolnshire visited the V & A Museum in London to research their exam topics. A small group of students had a talk and handling session with Angus Patterson, curator of the Metalwork Department. students looked at Rennaisance armour and firearms displaying etched decoration. this was followed by a workshop making intaglio prints eg Etching and drypoint on paper.
Emphasis was on the engagement of boys in order to improve their performance in school
£500.00 was given by North Lincs NADFAS to make this trip possible. Most students had never been to London before. Thank you!
